Facilities: Land Sports, Creative Arts and Activities

Camp Androscoggin offers an outstanding array of sports, arts and crafts activities. Land sport facilities include:

• 12 tennis courts (4 are clay and 8 are all-weather; 4 are lighted for night play)
• 2 baseball diamonds, Little League and regulation size
• Batting cage with pitching machine
• 2 basketball courts ( one lighted for night play)
• A junior soccer field
• An archery range and a rifle range
• A senior soccer and lacrosse field
• A low and high ropes challenge course and climbing wall
• Mountain bikes for day and overnight trips

An Arts Center houses facilities for:

• Animation and Video
• Crafts
• Ceramics and woodworking
• Drawing and Set Design

There is also a separate building equipped for use as a photography darkroom.

A fully equipped radio broadcast station is located in the camp Playhouse, which is also used for camp plays, variety nights, and the musical talent shows that Androscoggin is famous for.

Our latest addition is the Foster Fieldhouse, completed for the 1999 season. The building is 70 x 100 and houses a high school regulation size basketball court. It is also used for street hockey and rainy day activities.
