Trips & Teams

Androscoggin offers an extensive program of hiking, biking and canoeing trips. All trips are designed to build camping skills and foster a lifelong appreciation of the outdoors.

Every boy has a chance to learn for himself why the Maine woods and waterways have captivated everyone who has ever experienced them. These trips are exciting adventures that strengthen a boy’s sense of self-reliance and accomplishment. The trips are an important part of what makes Androscoggin such a special and enduring experience.

Every camper takes at least one extended overnight trip during the summer, ranging from a two-day hiking trip for 8-year-olds to a seven-day canoe trip on the Allagash Waterway for 15-year-olds.

Campers will also explore Bar Harbor, climb Mt. Katahdin, go whitewater rafting on the Kennebec River and visit Montreal. In addition, the boys enjoy weekly day trips to points throughout the state. Every excursion is fun, memorable and safe, planned down to the last detail.

Androscoggin also offers an exciting intercamp program for interested campers. Each age group has teams in every land and water sport that compete with other camps in our area. Every boy who wants to participate can find a team to match his interests and skills.
